Coastal abstract artist Julia Contacessi (Con-ta-chess-e) studied at Pratt Institute in New York, earning her BFA with honors in 2000. Julia explains her motivation in using color, textures, and compositional movement to create art that drowns out the noise and clutter of the everyday so the viewer can discover a sense of calm escape.
